This workshop serves as the 2 year follow-up to the Wellness Wednesdays series that was provided weekly in April 2020. During the beginning of the pandemic we shared self-care strategies, ways to prevent burnout and how to maintain a sense of balance in the unknown. This workshop will be a 2 year wellness check-in to see how everyone has been coping and navigating through the pandemic. What did we learn about ourselves? In what ways has the pandemic changed us?
The workshop is designed to help participants:
1. Recognize trends as a mental health provider during the pandemic
2. Understand the importance of monitoring of the propensity to engage in self care
3. Discuss the renewed role of resiliency in counselor identity
PRESENTER:
Letitia Huger-Hill, LCMHC-S, BC-TMHP is is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Supervisor and Emotional Intelligence Coach based in North Carolina. She has over 18 years of experience working with children, adolescents and adults with mental health disorders. Her career began in research with Duke University Medical Center in the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry division. She administered psychiatric assessments and inventories to children with disruptive behaviors and anxiety. Letitia conducts comprehensive assessments along with counseling children, adolescents, and adults through providing psycho education of mental health diagnosis, parenting skills training, stress management, communication and assertiveness training as well as emotion regulation and anger management. She is the owner and operator at Positive Redirection, PLLC. Letitia also provides nationwide workshops on parenting, relationships, balancing work and life, and symptom management. Letitia also provides online counseling as well as online clinical supervision.
