The workshop is designed to help participants:
1) Recognize the attachment, as well as the emotional and financial effects, companion animals have on our clients, including during the pandemic
2)  Demonstrate how the relationship to companion animals can impact family history, family dynamics, and the schema of family.
3) Illustrate an understanding of companion animal/pet loss and other theories of grief beyond Kubler-Ross' Stages of Grief.

PRESENTER:
A lifelong animal lover, Tracie Barton-Barrett, MS, NCC, LCMHC, is a speaker, former Psychology teacher, and published author of two novels that celebrate the human-animal bond:  BURIED DEEP IN OUR HEARTS and FINDING HER SPIRIT.
