Message from the President

Greetings fellow LPCANC members!

On behalf of the 2023 Board and Committees Leadership, welcome to the new year! Under the stellar leadership of Dr. Carmen Davis, 2022 was historic and transformative on many levels. From the 25th Silver Anniversary Conference to the passage of two major legislative initiates, there is a high standard to meet!

And yet with the leadership talent that is slated for 2023, it is our honor to keep the momentum flowing into the new year. Thanks so much to all of our Board, Committee Leads and Committee Members for stepping up for the profession. Thanks to each of our Members who either joined or renewed their commitment to the movement for health and wellness in NC.

This year’s focus will be strengthening the governance infrastructure of the association through economy, diplomacy and alliances. We want to continue to build the castle of membership advancement and are strengthening the foundation to last for generations of LPCANC soon to officially shift to the Licensed Clinical Counselors of North Carolina. Stand by for more!

Mary H. Jernigan, MA, LCMHC
